Behind the Scenes: An internship at Galileo
Success storys
Sandra - from intern to Director Corporate Brand Management
Directly after graduating from university, Sandra initially just wanted to get a taste of Munich as an intern at ProSieben and experience what its like to work in private television. Her six-month internship has turned into a corporate career of nearly 15 years and eight different positions in various companies within the P7S1 cosmos. From the traineeprogram to marketing management, from marketing and licensing to broadcast business and into corporate marketing.
"The diversity and number of opportunities at P7S1 are unique". Sandra used exactly these opportunities and was therefore able to get to know the entire marketing business and later became responsible for individual areas. In her positions, she handled brand management and the launch of TV channels, 360-degree format campaigns, brand cooperations, licensing deals and B2B projects. In her current position as Director Corporate Brand Management, she was responsible for the launch of the new company Seven. One Entertainment and is now in charge of the brand management for the B2B brand.

Frederik - from intern to representative Editorial Director Galileo
Frederik Fichtners success story at P7S1 started over 20 years ago: Frederik actually wanted to study after school, but then heard about the newly launched knowledge programme Galileo and applied there as an intern. After his internship, he extended as a hospitant and eventually worked as a planning editor. After two turbulent and instructive years, he fulfilled his dream of studying abroad while continuing to work as a freelance TV producer on the side. Even as an external employee, he remained loyal to Galileo until he was drawn back to the main editorial office after a year in Canada: "In fact, I can say that I have done almost every job at Galileo: From intern, tele-prompter operator, performer, editor, reporter, developer and CvD to representative editorial director."
Today, Frederik heads the development department at Galileo and is primarily concerned with constantly reinventing the format and always surprising and entertaining the viewer. "It excites me to do pioneering work in many fields, such as many interactive projects where we break completely new ground."
